OUR MILESTONES

14^th June 1999 Established with the primary objective of empowering rural women in and around Chitrapur, Samvit Sudha launched as a small tailoring unit teaching just two girls to stitch simple fabric ‘Prasad’ bags for Shri Chitrapur Math in Shirali.

2003 Number of trainees steadily increased to approximately 40 girls.

2004 Introduced stitching of School Uniforms for the students of Srivali High School.

2007 Awarded the MOTILAL DOSHI FOUNDATION AWARD for "Alleviation of the Girl Child".

2010 Moved to the present-day premises and diversified into a greater range of products with enhanced embroidery skills.

2011 Shrimat Parijnanashram Handmade Paper Unit inaugurated in Kembre.

2012 Started participating in exhibitions as well as events at corporate offices. First large, customized order for corporate gifting received.

2014 ‘Parijna Books’ series for young children launched.

First exclusive retail outlet opened in Shirali.

2016 First retail store in a metro opened at Tardeo, South Mumbai.

2019 Recognized by the Kanara Saraswat Association on International Women's Day for exemplary work towards women empowerment.

‘Holding Hands’ initiative launched for the mothers of challenged children at Shrimat Parijnanashram Educational and Vocational Center for the Handicapped in Virar.

2022 Samvit Sudha begins its Social Media presence on Instagram and Facebook

1999-2024 Samvit Sudha has trained 500+ women from villages in and around Shirali.

Participated in 350+ events till date in Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, New Delhi, and Chennai.
